QF Home Thermostat Link. Effective October 4, 2026.

QF Home Thermostat Link is used only by its owner, to let the owner's own self-hosted home automation system read and control the owner's own Google Nest thermostat through Google's Device Access program. It is not offered to anyone else.

What Google user data the application accesses

With the owner's permission, the application accesses information about the owner's own thermostat that Google makes available through the Device Access program (the Smart Device Management API), such as temperature, humidity, mode, target temperature, connection status and status-change notifications. It can also change the thermostat's settings when the owner asks it to.

How the data is used

The data is used only to show the thermostat's status and to control it from the owner's home automation system. It is not used for advertising, profiling or analytics. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Where the data is stored

Sharing

No data is collected from anyone other than the owner. No data is sold, transferred or shared with third parties, and no person other than the owner reads it.
